The Tree of Life

The Tree of Life is a counselling methodology based on narrative therapy and the work of Ncazelo Ncube. I have been using the Tree of Life for several years now in my practice, have taught others the approach and presented at conferences.

Group sessions

I have run Tree of Life groups with women in Styal prison, with type 1 diabetics and with students and staff at the University of Salford and the Metanoia Institute.

If you would like to discuss how I might help you, such as with team building or examining attitudes to issues like equality and diversity, get in touch with me to discuss options.

Individual sessions

I have also worked with individuals to examine strengths and goals. If you would like to book a 1.5 hour session, using this methodology, perhaps to examine your career, or look at directions in life, please get in touch to discuss suitability.

Hi Julie, I've been offered the job... so I'm leaving (my current role). Thanks so much for helping me to know what is right and keep the faith. I nearly wavered a few times but looked at my tree. You are brilliant!   Anna xx

The Tree of Life was an excellent practical activity for exploring our experiences and values around challenging issues (race and racism). Julie is a great facilitator - it was clear what we were being asked to do, but there was plenty of space to explore and to listen. The workshop left me with lots to think about and work with in practice. Dr Phil Eva
